Allie: Happy to be here, Spiffy! At Play 2 Progress we help set children up for success by partnering with families to address early child development from birth through early elementary. We empower parents to understand how to play with their baby to benefit their development and engage their sensory system, which is key to building critical neural connections in the brain. Additionally, we provide a community to connect like-minded parents. The three main ways we set up a strong foundation for development and act both preventatively and reactively are by addressing social emotional regulation, meeting physical milestones, and facilitating a community of like-minded parents. We do all of this through play which means our days are filled with fun!
Patrick: It’s a pleasure to be here, Spiffy—thanks for having me! Did you know that LGBTQ+ founders are often overlooked and underfunded? They face an increasingly uphill battle to succeed in the competitive startup ecosystem. Stories of getting kicked out of families and friend groups simply for being a member of the queer community are commonplace. With these hardships, however, tenacity, drive, and a disruptive mindset are inherently planted and fostered. Chasing Rainbows aims to tap into this underlying resiliency in the LGBTQ+ founder community. We provide capital to companies that cannot rely on “friends and family” due to hatred or bigotry. Via our founder playbook and mentor-driven approach to portfolio management, we also provide support and guidance to these founders to get them to the next tier of funding.
I’m excited to be here, Spiffy - thanks for having me! Kids grow fast. Parents today are spending time and money to keep up with the shopping demand. Solutions that exist today are either convenient, affordable, or sustainable for the planet, but are rarely all three. We are working to provide a convenient solution that helps parents have the clothing they need as their kids grow through sizes. We want to do this while reducing the waste of fashion on our planet. Through reuse models, Rent-a-Romper is disrupting children's fashion and saving parents time and money.
