Fabien: When I was a kid, I loved using my piggy bank to save money, but I also used it to give to charity. I remember having conflicting thoughts about it though: Was it appropriate to use my parents’ pocket money to do so? How much should I give versus save? Growing up, I came up with the idea of a digital piggy bank that would facilitate giving in a financially healthy and sustainable way. And what is a better character than an agile and astute rabbit to help you to do so!? bunny.money was born.
Vanessa: If you want to start a company, it takes a lot of hard work, connections, investment, and knowledge to get started. For people with non-traditional backgrounds, fewer connections, and limited access to fundraising, it can be incredibly difficult to succeed. DealEngine is building a self-service platform empowering founders to achieve traction and funding, regardless of their background or connections.
Daniel: We’re working towards making capital accessible to people in a fair way. At Flowbo, we’re starting with creators on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. We help them get paid on time for the work they do with brands. We also fund them to grow! For example, if a gaming YouTuber wanted to develop their own game, we’d fund it today and be paid back over time. In the future, we want to help musicians, artists, and freelancers who are doing great work—but not in traditional 9-5 jobs.
