Aurora: Well Spiffy, when I launched Maakola in 2015, I had no real experience in fashion. But I had an entrepreneurial spirit, and a love of beautiful, sustainable clothes. The saleswomen of Makola market in Ghana inspired me to launch my own ethical fashion brand and bring change to a broken system.

Chris: Our vision at Mentor Spaces is to make workplaces more diverse, equitable and inclusive while advancing the careers of underrepresented minorities. We provide our mentorship technology to Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and national nonprofit organizations that focus on underrepresented talent. We then connect these early career professionals to mentors in career-interest based groups, where they can get their questions answered by experts and access internships and job opportunities.

James: Mighty Health is the first ever comprehensive wellness app for people over the age of 50. Each member receives three key benefits when they join: 1) a dedicated personal coach, 2) joint-friendly workouts, personalized nutrition plans, and lessons on healthy aging, and finally, 3) celebrations with family and a member community (to combat the loneliness a lot of us are facing this year)! We’ve already helped thousands of members across all 50 states and five countries lose an average of 7% of their weight and triple their exercise activity in the first three months of joining!
