Nichola Buckley: Inspiring a Healthier Future for Kids

Ladderworks is a publishing platform of diverse picture books and online curriculum with the mission to empower over a million kids to become social entrepreneurs. Our current series features interviews by our interplanetary journalist Spiffy with inspiring Social Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Builders, and Changemakers who are advancing the UN SDGs.

Spiffy here with the scoop on the entrepreneurial leaders of Planet Earth. As the only interplanetary journalist stationed on this blue planet, I’m thrilled to present this galactic exclusive with Nichola Buckley, the founder and chief executive officer of Bebe Bitez. Let’s learn about what’s happening at Bebe Bitez and how Nichola is making a positive impact in the world.

Spiffy: Hi Nichola, thanks a million for talking to me today. Tell me, what challenge are you addressing through Bebe Bitez?

Nichola: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! Our mission is to inspire a healthier future for kids. We're taking on the exciting challenge of making sure every bite you take is a step towards a strong and vibrant life. Imagine a world where food becomes your superpower, you're armed with knowledge and personalized guidance to stay strong, smart, and full of energy. With our magical platform, INAP (Infant Nutritional Analysis Platform), we're using the amazing tools of artificial intelligence and clever data tricks to help you make the best food choices. Together, we're turning the tables on those tricky health challenges, showing the world that you've got the power to create a lifelong adventure of wellness and happiness!

Spiffy: What motivates you to do it?

Nichola: What truly motivates us is the belief that every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy and happy. We're driven by the idea that we can make a real impact on children's lives by empowering them with the knowledge and tools to lead healthier lifestyles from the very start. As parents ourselves, we're committed to creating a world where kids can thrive, free from the burdens of preventable health issues. Seeing the potential to prevent diseases and set children on a path to lifelong wellness is what fuels our passion, and keeps us dedicated to the mission of Bebe Bitez.

Spiffy: What is the impact of your work?

Nichola: Our work at Bebe Bitez helps children and families by providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to make healthier choices from the beginning. By focusing on preventive measures and promoting good nutrition habits, we aim to empower parents, caregivers, and young individuals with the tools to prevent food-related illnesses. Our technology-driven approach assists pediatricians and dietitians in offering personalized guidance, ensuring that each child's unique nutritional needs are met. Ultimately, our efforts contribute to a healthier future generation, reducing the burden of diseases, and promoting overall well-being for children worldwide.

Spiffy: Is there anything else you would love to tell our audience?

Nichola: Our work at Bebe Bitez is like having a superpower for staying strong and healthy! Just like how superheroes have special tools to fight villains, we use our special tools, like computers and smart algorithms, to help kids grow up strong and happy. We're like nutrition detectives, working with doctors and food experts to figure out the best ways to eat yummy foods that keep us healthy. We want to make sure all kids have the knowledge and tools to be the healthiest superheroes they can be, right from when they're babies. So, just like you're growing and learning every day, we're growing our superpower to make the world a healthier place for kids like you!

Spiffy: Thanks for speaking with me today, Nichola—it’s been an honor!
