I'm the founder and executive director of Cosmic Writers, a nonprofit that provides creative writing education to K–12 students around the United States and beyond. There are so many kids who see writing as a chore, and who never feel self-motivated to learn how to express themselves. We aim to show our participants that writing has extraordinary power. Our clients serve small businesses and individuals who are typically turned away from banks given their lack of credit or credit-thin files. Miren provides software for clients to manage technical assistance, loan applications, programs, and loan portfolios. This means clients can help more people in their communities reach their funding goals faster and grow their businesses or buy their dream home.
