IMPAQTO Capital's mission is to support entrepreneurs in the Andean region of Latin America who are solving social or environmental problems with their startups. We provide these entrepreneurs with capital, support, and connections that allow their businesses to scale and allow them to generate a deeper positive impact in the world.
Nat: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! We are helping refugees and people fleeing conflict in their home country to safely move their money on their phones so they are not robbed along the way. We are allowing refugees to bring more of their funds with them to new countries so they can get a better start to a new life.
Yuji: It’s great to be here, Spiffy! We are addressing plastic pollution. Over 99% of plastics are made from fossil fuels and the materials take hundreds of years to decompose in the natural environment. As the materials are derived from fossil fuels, it is closely linked with greenhouse gas emissions.
