Yacob Berhane: Supporting the Next Generation of African Innovators
Yacob: Happy to be with you, Spiffy! At Pariti, we've built an entrepreneurial marketplace that supports the next generation of African entrepreneurs, investors, and talent. We believe that by facilitating access to capital and resources, we can help builders create innovative solutions that tackle the toughest challenges facing Africa and the world. We take a data-driven approach to everything we do. By using our data models to identify key issues in the ecosystem, we then design products and services that truly make a difference.

Lisa: Happy to be with you, Spiffy! Create2030 is an artist-led, international network of professional artists and storytellers committed to using our voices and talents in support of the United Nations' (UN) 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). We believe our voices and talents can create a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world. The main challenge we face is to be seen as legitimate partners in SDG advocacy—not just as entertainers, but also as creative thinkers and problem-solvers with a right to have a seat at the decision-making table.

Maureen Muketha: Improving Food Security with Vertical Gardens and Education

Maureen Muketha: Improving Food Security with Vertical Gardens and Education
Maureen: We are addressing several challenges. One is to combat the increased rate of non-communicable diseases, which account for over 50% of hospital admissions in Kenya. Next, we fight hunger, malnutrition, and poverty by raising  awareness of proper feeding habits. We also work to improve food security in the community by equipping community members with nutrition knowledge. We do this by holding nutrition education talks, and training young women to cultivate indigenous vegetables on vertical farms. UN SDG #2 is our guiding goal.
