Andrea: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! Our goal is to make sure that organizations that want to advance the SDG Goals have the right type of funding to make this possible—long-term, flexible money that helps them build strong organizations. We do this by convincing funders—foundations, public agencies, and individual donors—that this type of funding creates more change in the world by letting changemakers do what they are best at.
Gerald: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! The challenges UNLEASH tackles within the queer communities in Asia include limited safe spaces, social stigma, lack of inclusivity, support, and the need for empowerment. We strive to address these challenges by creating safe environments, challenging societal norms, promoting inclusivity, and empowering individuals to embrace their true selves with confidence and pride.
Matt: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! At Oban we are working to make fair credit accessible to individuals and Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Nigeria. Limited financial literacy and credit history in microfinance markets results in insanely predatory lending rates: 15-35% per month for borrowers. By providing an online microfinance marketplace and financial empowerment tools, we provide proxy credit scores that help ensure that borrowers can secure the best rates on their loans, improve their financial knowledge, and have a long term plan for credit.
