Alex: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! One Young World empowers and develops young leaders to build a fair, sustainable future for all. It begins with the annual One Young World Summit—a landmark event of the year for young leaders. It is a chance for the individuals responsible for shaping the future of our world to come together to confront the biggest challenges facing humanity. The Summit is the ultimate place to be inspired, share learnings, and connect. But the Summit is not only a life-changing four-day experience, it also is just the start of every attendee’s journey with us. Every leader who attends leaves the Summit as a One Young World Ambassador and a valued member of our global community.
Christy: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! Davinci is an underwearable health and wellness platform. Our goal is to maximize health and wellness performance for girls and women by combining measurements from our AI-powered hardware with advice from mentor-mentee relationships and automated and guided coaching. Our hardware combines a small sensor woven into clothing (underwear!) backed by the power of cloud computing / AI. Managing human-powered peak performance is unsolved and is a concern for women from puberty to menopause. Understanding temperature fluctuations in relation to other vitals, assessing reduction of injury during physical activity, and managing cycle and hormonal health for risk assessment across age are huge pain points.
Stan: Thanks for having me, Spiffy! The Heinz Endowments provides funding for The Readiness Institute at Penn State Pittsburgh Center, which endeavors to address the misalignment between the education, business, and community sectors to better position rising high school seniors to explore and embrace education and career pathways that are personalized and value each learner’s interests, skills, and dispositions. Through its programming and networks, the Readiness Institute enables education, industry, and community partners to coordinate, collaborate, and create experiences for learners to achieve community and future readiness—regardless of their zip code, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, and ability level.
